 Multiplication of a bigger number can be made fun for children if it taught with the expanded form. you can actually multiply and make the tables up to 100's and beyond by using this method. This actually kills two birds with one stone😀 as it helps the children master the multiplication tables upto 10 as well as understand the distributive property of multiplication which helps them when they actually have to study the same in 6th /7th grade. How this works? It's actually quite simple suppose you need to multiply a number lets say 34 with 7.

34x7 =?

34 can be written as 30+4 and this can then be multiplied with 7 

(30+4)x7 = 210+28 =238
